— JAY (AP) — A Jay Middle School principal who was acquitted of a manslaughter charge brought after a fatal boating accident has been reinstated but has tendered his resignation.

Roger “Shane” Carroll was found not guilty on March 28 and was restored to his position Thursday by the school board. Carroll then resigned, effective June 30.
