— TULSA (AP) — A group of airmen in the Oklahoma Air National Guard’s 219th Engineer Installation Squadron have arrived in Tulsa after a six-month deployment to Afghanistan.

About 50 members of the squad returned Saturday afternoon and were met by family and friends at Tulsa International Airport.

The Guard says the squadron completed electrical installation projects in Afghanistan that were part of extending communications capabilities.

Tina Spriggs told the Tulsa World before the squad arrived that this is the seventh time her husband has been overseas and said the couple’s two children both became teenagers during a time he was deployed.
