COUNTRY, BLUEGRASS CONCERT BENEFIT AND COOKOUT, 2 p.m. May 17 at Kelly’s Ship’s Store and Jackson Bay on Fort Gibson Lake, northeast of Okay. Live music featuring New Direction, Mountain Grove Bluegrass and Olin Davis and The Travelers. Large sale with various items including a dishwasher, range, picnic table, entertainment centers and other great stuff. Smoked meats and all the fixin’s. Adults $5, children eat free. All proceeds will go to Teresa Milligan who suffered a serious car wreck last July. For more information or to make donations contact Misty, 686-5528.
ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT DAV BENEFIT BREAKFAST, 7 to 10 a.m. May 17, third Saturday, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 7, 4815 W. Okmulgee Ave. Cost: $4, adults; $2, children under 12. Menu: eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, buckwheat pancakes, coffee, milk and juice. Proceeds directly support local Disabled American Veterans and their families.
MEMORIAL DAY JAM AND BENEFIT FOR WENDY SMITH, featuring six bands, 5 p.m. May 25, Texanna Road Lounge, Landing. All musicians welcome. Donations appreciated. Information: 689-9060.
