Activities include expansive model train layouts, climb aboard 1940s vintage diesel engine, and meet Allen Simmons, senior special agent with Union Pacific Railroad, to hear is talk on railroad safety.
LIBRARY SILENT AUCTION AS IS PROPERTY SALE, Saturday, Muskogee Public Library, 801 West Okmulgee Ave. Make bids from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Monday, bids will be opened and the highest bidder will be notified. Property can be viewed from 3 to 5 p.m. today. Items include: tables, TV, green vinyl and chrome bench, vinyl and chrome chairs, flat glass display case, Canon film reader, and computers and miscellaneous computer wiring. Information: 682-6657.
AARP SAFE DRIVING CLASS, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, The Agape Fellowship, 505 W Okmulgee Ave. The class is open to any licensed driver with emphasis on the 55-plus group. Completion of this class will qualify you for a discount on your auto insurance for three years. Cost: $10 per person. Space and material are limited and reservations are requested. “FACE OF THE BUCKLE 2008,” competition, 10 a.m. Saturday, open auditions for girls. Open auditions for boys will be May 24. Semi-finals are May 31 and finals are June 7. The Face of the Buckle contest is for guys and girls between the ages 15 to 24. Must wear own casual clothing and bring 5x7 photo. One guy and one girl will be chosen at finals and receive $250 gift card, have their picture displayed on a banner and appear in the next commercial. MANUAL TRAINING HIGH SCHOOL SIXTH MAMMOTH REUNION, May 22 to 25 starting with registration from 3 to 9 p.m. May 22 at the Martin Luther King Center. There will be a breakfast, tour of the city and reception on May 23; picnic at and reunion ball on May 24; and worship service and banquet on May 25.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS FUN DAY, sponsored by Muskogee Soccer Club, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 24, Georgia Pacific Soccer Complex. There will be inflatables, face painting, obstacle course races, soccer games, awards, food and fun.
