MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND DOUBLE DOSE OF PARTIES, old-school style, Friday and Saturday, Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, Third and Elgin streets. Activities include leg and hard body contests, and The Black Rocker performing. SPRING FUN FLY AND SWAP MEET, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Hatbox Air Field. Three Rivers Area Model Plane Society presents the seventh annual event. This is a fly what you bring, no pressure, no contest fun fly of all sizes, old-timers, and helicopters. If it will fly, bring it. There will be space for registered pilots and vendors to display and sell any modeling related items. No landing fee. Concessions available. MEMORIAL SERVICE, hosted by the 43nd Rainbow Division, 10:45 a.m. Monday, Memorial Day, Rainbow Amphitheater, Honor Heights Park. The group will meet at 9 a.m. at Golden Corral for breakfast before meeting at the park.

FREE HEALTH FAIR, held in conjunction with Taft’s 40th annual Memorial Day Parade, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, old school gym, Taft. Free healthy heart checks will be done in the first two hours for those fasting. There also are PSAs, blood drive, cancer screening coupons, door prizes and more. This health fair is open to everyone.

FREE KIDS FISHING RODEO, sponsored by the Port of Muskogee, for children ages 2 to 12, 8 a.m. June 6, Three Forks Harbor, southeast of the Arkansas River Bridge on U.S. 62. Each child must be accompanied by an adult during the entire event. All fishing will be from the banks of the harbor, no boats allowed. Bring you favorite fishing pole. Live bait is allowed. SKATEBOARD COMPETITION, 1 p.m. June 6, Love Hatbox Sports Complex, sponsored by Love Bottling Co. and BlindSide Skateshop. Entry fee is $10. Entry forms are available the day of the event. Registration sign up will start at noon and must be in no later than 12:30 p.m. Helmets are suggested but not required. Parents must be present for those under 18 for registration. Warm-ups begin at noon. Competition will consist of advanced, intermediate and beginner. Participants will have two one-minute runs. Prizes will be given to the top three in each category.
