GARAGE SALE, hosted by Green Country Blue Star Mothers Chapter 12, 8 a.m. until noon Friday and Saturday, Green Country Blue Star Mothers Chapter 12 building (Old Peak Express), 24th Street and Peak Boulevard. Items include appliances, furniture, clothing, like new, paintings and knick-knacks. Proceeds go to purchase supplies for and mail boxes to troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS GARAGE SALE, Friday and Saturday, St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Hall, 323 N. Virginia St. Donations are being accepted. Information: 682-9459.
BENEFIT CAR WASH, 9 a.m. Saturday, Kum & GO, 702 S. 32nd St., hosted by the Peters Chapel AMEC Young Peoples Division. Money raised will go to send children to Christian Education Leadership Congress in Magonlia, Ark., at the Southern Arkansas University campus. RELAY FOR LIFE, 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday, Muskogee Civic Center, to benefit the American Cancer Society.
BLOOD DRIVE, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, First Presbyterian Church, Nash Hall foyer, 500 W. Broadway, conducted by the Oklahoma Blood Institute. Muskogee-area residents ages 17 and older are encouraged to give blood as an opportunity to honor Jimmy Wilcoxen as he continues to recover from cancer. Blood donations will help support Oklahoma patients that live in the northeastern part of the state, including patients such as Wilcoxen. DOG WASH AND ADOPTATHON, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Palmer’s Plants, west of Muskogee Avenue on Choctaw Road, Tahlequah. Cost: $5, small dog, $7, large dog for shampoo, dry and dog treat. It is $1 extra for flea/tick shampoo, conditioner, whitener; and $2 extra for combing out matted hair. Dogs must be on a leash, and with owner at all times. Proceeds go to Humane Society of Cherokee County. Information: 457-7997.
ELVIS PRESLEY FAN CLUB OF OKLAHOMA silent auction and dance, 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Brickstreet Cafe in Okemah. Benefits Street Cats of Tulsa. This is a licensed event approved by Graceland. A wide array of new Elvis items will be on hand to auction as well as a dance provided by KOMA radio’s Ronnie Kaye. Event is for all ages. GOLDEN EAGLE POKER RUN, 8 a.m. June 13, Lake Eufaula. Pre-entry fee is $175 for five cards and $200 for six. Entry the day of the event is $200/$225. Each entry will receive a logo T-shirt or hat. Entry forms are available online at VisitLakeEufaula.com or at marinas, restaurants, convenience stores and the LEA office, 701 S. Main, Eufaula. WAGONER HOME TOUR, hosted by Wagoner Rose Garden Club, 1 to 5:30 p.m. June 14. There will be five homes on the tour. They are located on U.S. 69, approximately 1.5 miles south of Wagoner, east of the Red Barn Antiques. Homes will be marked with pink and green balloons. DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS CAR, TRUCK AND MOTORCYCLE SHOW, June 27, 4815 W. Okmulgee Ave. Sign in from 8:30 to 11 a.m. with the show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost to register is $15 by June 13 and $20 after June 13. Proceeds benefit disabled veterans and their families in the Muskogee Area. Judging is by The Toy Shop.
