— “ANYTHING GOES,” 6:30 p.m. Sept. 28-29 and 1 p.m. Sept. 30, Armory Municipal Center Auditorium, 100 N. Water Ave., Tahlequah. Tahlequah Community Playhouse, Inc., presents its fall musical with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, directed by Craig Clifford and Renee Rae Ridge, with musical directors Kriss Harris, and Holly Stocks. Individual dinner theater tickets are $25 per person. Show-only tickets are $15 per person. Reservations are required for the dinner and must be received by 3 p.m on the Tuesday before that weeks performance. Show-only patrons should arrive about 7:15 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets may be ordered at www.tcpok.com, or from Morris Cragar, A Bloom or Cherry Berry businesses. “SORDID LIVES,” Sept. 28-30 and Oct. 4-6, Muskogee Little Theatre, Cincinnati and D streets. A black comedy about white trash, “Sordid Lives” tells the tale of Peggy, a good Christian woman who hits her head on the sink and bleeds to death after tripping over her lover’s wooden legs in a motel room and the chaos that erupts in Winters, Texas, as a result. “Sordid Lives” is for a mature audience only. The show contains adult language and content. The show is sponsored by Rotary Club of Muskogee and presented with the assistance of the Oklahoma Arts Council. “A CHRISTMAS STORY” AUDITIONS, 7 p.m. Oct. 7-8, Muskogee Little Theatre, Cincinnati and D streets. Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the midwest of the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. The cast calls for two adult males, two adult females and multiple youth roles. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. The show is directed by Tommy Cummings. Isabel and Bob Cockle present a fun and entertaining program featuring around 30 local “seasoned citizens” — singing, dancing, and comedic skits. Advance tickets available at Cockle’s Dance Studio and at Soundworld. Proceeds benefit Muskogee Little Theatre’s new facility fund.
