Menu: Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, coffee, milk and juice. Proceeds directly support local Disabled American Veterans and their families.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. COMMUNITY CENTER GALA, Jan. 17, Muskogee Civic Center. The gala is an inaugural fundraising event to raise money and support for a new Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. Sponsorships are available. Cost: $75 per ticket. Information: (918) 684-6363.

CASA ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST, 7 to 11 a.m. Jan. 18, Masonic Lodge, Choctaw St. and College Ave., Tahlequah. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Cherokee Country will be holding an all-you-can-eat breakfast. Cost: $5. The menu: eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, juice, and coffee. Proceeds from the breakfast will go to CASA, a non-profit organization that trains volunteers to speak for abused and neglected children in the court systems of Adair County, Cherokee County, and Cherokee Nation. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the CASA office, 304 W. Keetoowah St.; from any current or former CASA board member; from CASA staff members; or at the door the morning of the breakfast.
