AUDITIONS FOR “THE DROWSY CHAPERONE,” 7 to 8:30 p.m. July 15-16 and 22-23, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, corner of College and Delaware, Tahlequah. Tahlequah Community Playhouse, Inc.’s next play features music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, directed by Shawn Arthur, assisted by Freida Goossen. Cast includes eight men and five women, with up to 8 extras. Those auditioning are asked to bring a reading or a prepared monologue for acting auditions; for vocal auditions bring music. An accompanist will be provided. Dancers bring dance shoes. Show dates are Sept. 20-22 and 27-29. All performances are held at the Armory Municipal Center Auditorium, 100 North Water Ave, Tahlequah. CHILDREN’S THEATER CAMP, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children ages 5-11 and 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. for children ages 11-16, July 22-26, sponsored by Tahlequah Community Playhouse. The morning’s camp theme is “Aesop’s Fables: Exploring Character Through Masks.” The afternoon’s camp theme is “Spicy Shakespeare: Modern Scenes from A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream.” Cost: $75.
