— “NANYEHI-BELOVED WOMAN OF THE CHEROKEE” AUDITIONS, 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. June 14 and 15, Council Chambers, Cherokee Nation Complex, 17675 S. Muskogee Ave., Tahlequah. Callbacks will be June 16. Show dates will be Aug. 27, 30 and 31 at Northeastern State University’s Center for the Performing Arts. NSU and the Cherokee Nation will host the Oklahoma premiere as part of the college’s Galaxy of Stars series, as well as the Cherokee National Holiday. The musical chronicles the life of Nancy Ward, a Cherokee War Woman in the 1700s-1800s, who was revered as a peacemaker during the American Revolution. CHILDREN’S THEATER CAMP, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children ages 5-11 and 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. for children ages 11-16, July 22-26, sponsored by Tahlequah Community Playhouse. The morning’s camp theme is “Aesop's Fables: Exploring Character Through Masks.” The afternoon’s camp theme is “Spicy Shakespeare: Modern Scenes from A Midsummer's Night's Dream.” Cost: $75.
