— DAIRYLAND DONKEY BASKETBALL SHOW, sponsored by First Baptist Church, 5:30 p.m. May 5, Jefferson Lot, Eighth and Boston streets. Local players riding include Mayor Bob Coburn, State Rep. Arthur Hulbert and Assistant Police Chief Johnny Teehee. Proceeds benefit camp scholarships and mission projects. Tickets: $6 in advance or $8 at the gate. Information: (918) 682-3496.

CHEROKEE COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY AUCTION, 8:30 a.m. May 11, Tahlequah Community Building, 300 W. 1st St. uction items: Furniture, jewelry, pottery, crockery, Fenton and similar glass, enamel ware, vintage kitchen items, fishing gear, military pieces, cookbooks, quilts, old vases, advertising items, knives, lamps, working clean appliances, and art work. You can deliver small auction items to the HSCC Resale Shop, (918) 458-1147, 12:30 to 4:30 Tuesday through Saturday. For larger items, please call the shop first. You can also bring items to the Community Center after 4 p.m. May 10 or before the Auction on Saturday.

BENEFIT BEAN DINNER AND AUCTION, 4 p.m. May 16, Tahlequah Community Building, 908 S College Ave., Tahlequah. Auction starts at 6 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Shelly Rogers. Tickets: $5 for ages 11 and up; $3 for ages 10 and under. Auction items: A day on the water with professional bass fisherman Tommy Biffle, merchandise autographed by professional bull rider Ryan Dirteater, a used Bass Tracker boat, various gift baskets and dessert items. Donation of items for auction are welcome.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT BENEFIT DAY, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. May 17, Wendy’s, 331 S. 32nd St. Ten percent of net sales will be donated to support Junior Achievement in Muskogee classrooms. Information: Brian Jackson, (918) 663-2156.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST, 7 to 11 a.m. May 25, Blackgum Community Building, 2 1/3 miles west of McQuicks on Oklahoma 100 or 1/2 mile east of entrance to Tenkiller State Park. Cost: Adults, $7; children, $6. Proceeds benefit Blackgum Fire Department.

ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT DAV BENEFIT BREAKFAST, 7 to 10 a.m., third Saturday of the month, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 7, 4815 W. Okmulgee Ave. Cost: $5, adults; $2, children under 12. Menu: Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, coffee, milk and juice. Proceeds directly support local Disabled American Veterans and their families.
