BEAN DINNER AND PIE AUCTION, 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 4, Wainwright Community Center. Menu: Beans, cornbread, cole slaw, dessert. Cost: $5. Other activities include are bounchouses, face painting, cotton candy and a spookhouse. Proceeds benefit Wainwright Schools.

YARD SALE, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 4-5, 902 Kentucky St. Proceeds from the sale will help defray expenses for Cathleen (Shores) Todd, who is being treated for lung cancer. Information: (918) 348-9995.

INSIDE SALE, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4, East Shawnee Church of God, 3715 E. Shawnee Bypass. Items benefit church.

LASAGNA DINNER, 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 5, Piney Creek Community Center, 159 Big Pine Rd., Longtown. The menu: lasagna, salad, garlic bread, tea and dump cake. Cost: $5 for adults, $2 for children. The PCWA hosts fundraisers year around to fund annual Thanksgiving and Christmas community meals, Christmas gifts for children of low income families, and community improvement projects. MUSKOGEE 4H BENEFIT, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 5, Tractor Supply, 1140 W. Shawnee. The menu: hot dogs, chips, drink and dessert. Cost: $5. There will also be a bake sale, a petting zoo and face painting. Information: Jennifer Crotty, (918) 577-7167.

INDIAN TACO DINNER, Oct. 5, Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department Station 1, 6726 W. 710 Road, Hulbert. Department will handmake the Indian tacos, deserts and drinks. Door prizes and auction items will be offered.

BEAN SUPPER/SILENT AUCTION, 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 17, First United Methodist Church, 800 E. Okmulgee. Proceeds benefit Coins 4 Critters.

ZOMBIE BOLT TULSA 5K TERROR RUN, 6 p.m. Oct. 19, Moore’s Flying M Ranch, 20707 E. 540 Rd., Inola. Participants have the opportunity to be a mortal runner, or three different types of zombies, but Zombie space is limited for each. Proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. NAME THAT TUNE CHALLENGE, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 24, Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, Third and Elgin streets. Team of eight is $500 or $65 each. Cost includes dinner, drinks, dessert auction and one mulligan. Proceeds benefit Muskogee Rotary’s Centennial Project. Limited seating. Information and reservations: (918) 781-6109.

TRASH CRAWL, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 26, Muskogee Civic Center. This unique event invites members of the community to engage in a scavenger hunt, following clues to ten sites around the city gathering trash. Bags collected may then be traded for tickets to a door-prize drawing. Information: (918) 682-7887.

ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BREAKFAST, 7-10 a.m., first Saturday of the month, American Legion Post 20, 201 Railroad and Walnut streets, Fort Gibson. Cost: $5. Information: Tim Smith, (918) 577-8738.

ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT DAY BENEFIT BREAKFAST, 7 to 10 a.m., third Saturday of the month, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 7, 4815 W. Okmulgee Ave. Cost: $5, adults; $2, children under 12. Menu: Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, coffee, milk and juice. Proceeds directly support local Disabled American Veterans and their families.
