The National Council, the legislative body of the Creek Nation, will hold a press conference at 1 p.m. today at the Council Oak in Tulsa.

George Tiger, Speaker of the National Council, will address issues rising from a decision of the Creek Supreme Court late last week.

The Supreme Court ruled the National Council was in contempt, and has stripped the legislature of some of its powers and have insisted the National Council be publicly censured.
