Many area offices closed for Christmas

A number of area businesses and offices will be closed Monday for Christmas:

• Federal offices.

• Muskogee and Fort Gibson tag agencies.

• Muskogee County Health Department.

• City sanitation department, residential and commercial routes will not run Monday. All residential routes will run one day behind their regular scheduled day. Commercial routes will resume their regular scheduled routes on Tuesday. There will be no yard waste pickup for the week.

• Banks and financial institutions.

• Muskogee Phoenix business offices.

• U.S. Post Office: Post office windows will be closed Monday, with no mail delivery. Post office boxes and stamp vending machine area will be open.

These businesses will be closed both Monday and Tuesday:

• Muskogee Public Library.

• Muskogee County offices.

• City offices, including City Hall.

• Muskogee County Transit.

In addition, the Muskogee Public Schools’ administrative offices, the BEST Center, will be closed for the entire week.
