Many offices closed for holiday

A number of area businesses and offices will be closed today for New Year’s Day:

• Federal offices.

• Muskogee Public Library.

• Muskogee County offices.

• Muskogee and Fort Gibson tag agencies.

• Muskogee County Health Department.

• Muskogee County Transit.

• City sanitation department, residential and commercial routes will not run Monday. There will be no yard waste pickup for the week.

• City offices, including City Hall.

• Banks and financial institutions.

• Muskogee Phoenix business offices.

• U.S. Post Office: Post office windows will be closed Monday, with no mail delivery. Post office boxes and stamp vending machine area will be open. Express mail will be delivered.
