Northeastern University will mark the 125th anniversary of its Seminary Hall with a campaign to help financially burdened students.
The “Light the Way” scholarship is designed to relieve NSU students of financial burdens that could keep them from reaching graduation. For example, a financial crisis could cause a student to withdraw from classes and not return, according to a media release.
NSU anticipates being able to intervene and help a student with a small scholarship that will keep them in school.
The official announcement for the scholarship will be Seminary Hall’s 125th anniversary celebration May 7. The current goal is to have at least 125 people give a gift of $1,000 or more by that date.
