WAGONER — A reception honoring state Sen. Mary Easley, D-Tulsa, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wagoner Civic Center, 301 S. Grant St.
The event opens Easley’s campaign for re-election. She will face Republican Mark Wofford on the Nov. 7 general election ballot. Gov. Brad Henry will speak at 6 p.m., said Sam Homan, Wagoner County Democrat party chairman. Among other dignitaries expected to attend will be state Sen. Mike Morgan, D-Stillwater, who is president pro tem.
Refreshments will be served. Dress is casual.
