Eastern Oklahoma Development District/Area Agency on Aging announces the Senior Citizens Spelling Bee, honoring May as Older Oklahomans Month, a media release states.

Participants are needed for the spelling bee, planned for 2 p.m. May 1 at the EODD office, 1012 N. 38th St.

Residents of Adair, Cherokee, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Sequoyah or Wagoner County who are 60 or older are eligible to participate. Trophies will be awarded to the top five finishers.
