A workshop for small-business owners will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 25 at Indian Capital Technology Center, Business and Industry Building, Room 100, 2403 N. 41st St. E.

Money Smart for Small Business is an instructor-led training curriculum developed by FDIC and SBA. It offers advice and tips on how to better manage business finances. The curriculum gives an introduction to 10 modules that provide training for new and aspiring entrepreneurs as well as seasoned business owners on the basics of organizing and managing a business financially. The modules are: Organizational Types, Financial Management, Banking Services, Risk Management, Tax Planning and Reporting, Time Management, Recordkeeping, Credit Reporting, Insurance, and Selling Your Business and Succession Planning. The training includes a participant guide and provides basic concepts and key points.

Registration is $25 per person and may be made online at www.reiwbc.

org.The fee includes training materials and lunch.
