A 37-year-old Tahlequah man was sentenced to 12 months in prison and 36 months supervised release Tuesday for a bomb hoax at Northeastern State University.

A note found in April at NSU with a fake bomb read : “I am going to blow this place up and kill everyone in it. I mean it.”

William Scott Kramer, 37, earlier pleaded guilty to giving false information in connection with leaving the note and fake bomb. Kramer was an employee of a company providing food service to the university.

“This guy is going to prison period,” U.S. Attorney Sheldon Sperling said. “Why? He scared people and wasted lots of law enforcement and student time.”
