The city of Muskogee will sponsor a cleanup drive Wednesday through Saturday in preparation for the Azalea Festival.
• Dumpsters for household trash will be set out Wednesday at the City Material Yard, 1503 S. Cherokee St.; City Water Department, 1239 Chicago St.; Recycling Center, northwest corner of Main and Iola streets; Border Street Fire Station, 2603 Border St.; Peak Boulevard Fire Station, 503 E. Peak Blvd.; and York Street Fire Station, 1800 N. York St. Household trash and yard waste may be placed in the containers.
• Old mattresses and discarded furniture may be disposed of from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, during the free dump days at the landfill. Truck or pickup loads of brush should be taken to the dumpsite, at 40th and Denver streets, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. No stumps will be allowed. Individuals will need a valid driver’s license and current City of Muskogee water bill to use the landfill free of charge. Those who don’t present the information will be charged the regular rate.
