Linzee Micole Custer and Christopher Michael Young were married Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Bacone Chapel in Muskogee with Tom Moore performing a double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Annetta Custer of Okay, and granddaughter of Nadine Kemp of Spencer and the late Edward Kemp Sr.

The groom is the son of Mike and JoEtta Young of Okay and grandson of Maxine Randolph of Fort Gibson, June Chapin Helm of Muskogee, the late Cleburn Randolph and Andrew Chapin. The bride’s brother, Lance Kemp, was missed since he is in Iraq serving our country.

Presented in marriage by her uncle, Gregory Custer of Muskogee, the bride was attended by Elizabeth Dyke of Tulsa, maid of honor; bridesmaids Sarah Miesner of Muskogee and Lanetta Stanfield of Midwest City.

Matt Young of Fort Gibson, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Clarence Ashley II of Okay and Tommy McKenny of Muskogee. Kylee Young of Fort Gibson, niece of the groom; Kaleigh Dowling of Okay and Adlee Kemp of Muskogee, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Kellin Duckee Swimmer of Muskogee, son of the bride, was ring bearer. Junior ushers were Aydene Kemp of Muskogee and Jaylene Dowling of Okay, nephews of the bride.

Lighting of the candles was done by Jennifer Plunk of Porter, cousin of the groom, and Courtni Spoon of Little Axe, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Jeff Fisher of Muskogee, cousin of the groom, and Jabril Reed of Muskogee, special friend of both families. Music was provided by Brittani Custer of Muskogee, cousin of the bride; Vanessa Birmingham of Luther, Eddie Yadon of Muskogee, and John Timothy of Muskogee. A reception was held at Muskogee Civic Center.

The bride and groom are graduates of Okay High School. She plans to continue her education at NSU in the spring where she will have her BA in social work. She is enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard and has served in Iraq. She is employed at the Buckle in Muskogee.

The groom has a certificate degree in welding. He is a February 2008 graduate of the U.S. Army Boot Camp and Advanced Infantry Training, where he plans to make his future. He is employed with the family business, Harrison Tire Center in Muskogee.

The couple are enjoying their honeymoon snow skiing in Whistler British Columbia, Canada. They will reside in Muskogee.
