"This is Love" with Fox TV comedian Sinbad, ABC star Marsai Martin, the king of funk George Clinton, Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac, and starring Oklahoma natives Rudy Love & The Love Family, will be making its Oklahoma premiere at the Red Dirt Film Festival in Stillwater at 7:15 p.m. Saturday. At 10 p.m., Rudy Love & The Love Family will play a live concert at Eskimo Joe’s following the premiere.

The film has swept the United States and European festival circuit, winning Best International Documentary at Italy’s Rome Independent Film Festival and the Film of the Festival Spirit Award at the Raindance Film Festival in London.

"This is Love" introduces obscure soul singer Rudy Love, whose name the public might know but whose voice has been influencing them for decades, whether they know it or not. Love was born in Checotah, and much of his family still resides there, including guitarist Tony Mathews, who is famous not only for his work with Love, but for works with the greats, such as Ray Charles and Little Richard. The film, from executive producer Shawn Rhodes, is produced by JC Guest and Robert Love and directed by John Alexander. Emily Bonavia, Ann Garvey, Susan Houston and Mick Fleetwood also served as executive producers of the documentary.
