Daredevils bring thrills to Muskogee Civic Center

A daredevil swirls inside the Globe of Steel, one of the acts Monster Motor Madness presents this weekend at Muskogee Civic Center.

1. BMX stunt team members roar up and over ramps for extreme stunts. Trial bikers riding seatless motorcycles hop on different obstacles.

2. Unusual aerial acts include riders circling inside the Globe of Steel. Another act features aerial stunts on a platform high above the arena floor while a trapeze aerialist performs 55 feet in the air.

3. Comedy acts include the "moto-mechanic" dealing with a Model T Ford with a mind of its own.

Motor Madness owner and producer Fletcher Runyan said the event is an "all motorsport-related show."

"We have combined unusual stuff with acts the public is accustomed to, like the motorcycle jumpers and the trail bikes and BMX. It's a unique mix," Runyan said. "It's a collaboration that's never been seen before."

He said people can expect high-level entertainment.

"These guys are top talent," Runyan said. "They do shows like the Nitro Circus, big major competitive entertainment."
