A Eufaula man died as the result of a collision Friday on Oklahoma 9, two miles east of Stigler in Haskell County, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report states.
Douglas Parkinson, 69, was pronounced dead at the scene, the report states.
According to the trooper's report, the collision happened at approximately 1:40 p.m. Gary Buday, 71, of Stigler, was driving a 2017 Buick Encore eastbound, and Parkinson was driving a 2007 Honda Goldwing motorcycle westbound. Buday was slowing down to make a left turn into a private drive when he drove into Parkinson's lane, causing the two to collide. Buday, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured. Parkinson was not wearing a helmet, the report states.
