Keefeton church helps out with food, clothing

Keefeton Trinity Baptist Church members stand by clothing available in a recent clothing giveaway. Their next event is Saturday.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

1. People in need sign in with name, address, phone number and what their need is. They also may list a prayer request.

2. People receive bags with enough food for two meals, as well as nutritious snacks, such as applesauce and snack bars for children and adults. Meals include meat.

3. People also may "shop" for articles of gently-used clothing, including shoes, sweaters and coats. There also might be other small items, such as toys.

WHY ATTEND?

Keefeton Trinity Baptist Church members and volunteers have conducted the monthly giveaway since July, said coordinator Nicole Moore.

"We just want to reach out to the community of Muskogee and our neighbors," Moore said. "Everyone is welcome."

Volunteer Judy Croftcheck said people needing a warmer coat for the winter are encouraged to come.
