Making A Difference In Our Community — Ann Shepherd

PERSONALLY SPEAKING:

"Our love for flying is kind of what drove us to get the Military and Indian Aviation Heritage Foundation started. As far as volunteering, I have a large appreciation for the veterans that have laid down their lives, and from the Indian Heritage side, it didn't seem like they ever got the spotlight. I think my time is better spent volunteering, because my reward is meeting the veterans and shaking their hands and thanking them for their service. There's no pay that could ever live up to that."

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT:

"I think volunteering is very important. I can speak for all of my board members, I think volunteering is what enables such a great thing like this to take place. It's a win-win situation for everyone that is involved."
