A Muskogee man was sentenced to 120 months in prison, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Gatlin Gary Morgan, 37, also was sentenced to five years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine; and for felon in possession of firearm and ammunition. The charges arose from an investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
The indictment alleges that on Oct. 8, Morgan possessed with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine.
The indictment also alleges that on Oct. 8, Morgan, having been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year, possessed a .40-caliber pistol and ammunition.
