New at the Q 05.12.15

“Super Steve’s Superhero Circus” will kick off the summer reading program in just two more weeks. Ringmaster Steve will be looking for super heroes from our very own audience. Steve will demonstrate the super powers of Presto the Superhero Rabbit and other animals.

Steve’s program is scheduled for 10 a.m. May 26.

In addition to the morning program, Steve will present a unique workshop geared to ages 12 and up.

Teens will have an opportunity to learn how to perform classic magic tricks and perform tricks with all kinds of everyday items. The workshop will include take-home items that will allow them to perform for their friends and family right away.The teen workshop is scheduled for 1 p.m.

There will be activities every day except Mondays.

Performers are scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays.

LEGO Club will be held on Wednesday mornings.

Thursday mornings will be preschool story time and Thursday afternoons will be crafts and science experiments for children age 5 and up.

The summer reading program is sponsored by Eastern Oklahoma District Library System, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Sonic Drive In, and The Oklahoman.
