The Board of Regents for the Oklahoma A&M Colleges recently approved a budget for the fiscal year starting July 1 that keeps tuition flat for Connors State College.
“We are grateful to the legislators for investing in higher education,” said Dr. Ron Ramming, Connors State College president. “This is a very good start in helping the public colleges and universities recover from the significant budget cuts we have received over the past several years.”
For Connors, this budget increased operational funds by 3.07% and included an increase for Section 13 Offset facilities management and repair funds. CSC budget includes a 3.5% pay raise for the faculty.
“The increased appropriations allowed us to not increase tuition and provide a much-needed pay raise to faculty. We understand the importance of providing high quality higher education at an affordable price,” Ramming said.
Tuition at Connors State College will remain $98 per credit hour for in state individuals. The importance of providing individuals a high-quality education at an affordable rate is important in helping CSC students the opportunity to succeed.
A recent study by the State Chamber Research Foundation highlights the value of investing in higher education. The study concluded that for every dollar the state invests in higher education, the system of higher education generates $9.40 in economic output.
