Three people were critically injured in a crash on U.S. 62 at Four Mile Road, four miles east of Fort Gibson in Muskogee County, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
Mark Maples, 55, and Kimberly Maples, 53 both of Muskogee, were admitted to Saint John Medical Center in Tulsa, the report states. Kirstey Washington, 29, of Muskogee, was admitted in critical condition to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
According to OHP, the collision happened at approximately 5 p.m. Sunday. Robert Roberts, 34, of Tahlequah, was the driver of the other vehicle involved, a 1997 International tractor-trailer rig. Mark Maples was driving a 2008 Lincoln Mark LT. The cause of the collision is under investigation. Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt except for Washington, the report states.
Roberts was jailed and is being held on $100,000 bond, said District Attorney Orvil Loge.
