Warner celebrates Cow Chip Day

Wherever a cow prefers to poop can mean prize money for a lucky Bingo ticket holder during Warner Cow Chip Day.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

1. Cow Chip Day Parade lines up at 10 a.m. at Assembly of God, then begins at 10:30 a.m. through town. Parade will feature Warner School band, Shriners, school organizations, Warner Fire Department, Tractor Pull contestants and businesses.

2. This year's day features a carnival with rides. Wristbands will be sold starting at 10 a.m. Bands are $5 for ages 11 and under and $10 for 12 and older. Food vendors and craft vendors will be set up at the park. A street dance will be at 6 p.m.

3. Cow Drop Bingo tickets will be sold until 4 p.m. Saturday A cow will be released onto a Bingo grid painted on the ground. First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded to whoever has the numbers where the cow poops.

WHY ATTEND?

Warner Chamber of Commerce secretary Alicia Smith said Cow Chip Day will have a "fun, family atmosphere."

"We've got the event priced pretty cheap, so families with multiple kids can come and participate," Smith said.
