A Warner woman was sentenced in federal court for theft from the Office of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 2250 in Muskogee, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Christy Little Coppin, 41, was sentenced to 5 years’ probation with a special condition that she notify all current and future employers of her conviction and the probation officer can contact the employer and confirm restitution of $52,738.58 for Theft Within Special Maritime And Territorial Jurisdiction. The charges arose from an investigation by the United States Department of Labor.

The indictment alleges that from about May 2015 to about July 2017, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma, and within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States, that is the Office of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 2250 in the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center, Coppin took the money, which is personal property of the Office of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 2250, with a value exceeding $1,000.
