E. Bones Johnson
In the past I have responded to some of Mr. Ashwood’s letters, even took time to attend the church he attends. After his plea in the Sunday paper, I couldn’t remain silent any longer. PLEASE, PLEASE TRUST JESUS ALONE FOR SALVATION.
Sorry Mr. Ashwood, I didn’t listen to Jesus or His Father when I sought salvation. I wanted to hear the words of Peter and the Apostles. I remember Jesus praying for his apostles in John 17:20: neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word.
I caught up with Peter and the apostles all together in Acts 2nd chapter on the day of Pentecost. Peter was speaking to the crowd, when someone asked Peter and the rest of the Apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent. And be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins “and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Yes Mr. Ashwood, Jesus has prayed for me, because I obeyed the words of the Apostles, can you show me where he has prayed for you?
