Muskogee

My opinion of the people of Muskogee just went up.

The wife and I fell while going shopping at a local grocery about two weeks ago. There was a short dip in the sidewalk and the wife missed it and started falling. I tried to catch her but ended up falling myself. My head bounced off the pavement like a rubber ball and my leg tried to move one of those concrete curbs. I tried to get up but didn’t make it. Someone from behind handed me my money clip money (thank you). A nurse happened to be there, Dianne, I think. She took our vitals and helped comfort us. Someone came from the store with a washcloth to wipe the blood from the side of my head. Thank you. Some nice lady was holding my head. It seemed a long time before the ambulances got there. One of the drivers said what did we do, I looked over at Velma. She was still lying flat and I was hurting quite a bit. We have good insurance, so I said take us to the hospital. We rolled right in. All the way. No waiting. They gave us the works. We checked out OK. Velma had a headache and scratched up glasses. I had a headache and a scratched up swollen leg. Great service and we walked out the door.

The whole meaning of this letter is to greatly thank all of you who helped us so much in our hour of need. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
