Tahlequah

War is hell and the U.S. involvement in many world conflicts, since World War II, was not necessary or justified.

I was a battalion counter-fire specialist in the Korean War. We were preparing the DMZ line ready for negotiations. We were usually on one side of the river and the enemy on the other.

I will give only two examples, one of the enemy and one of our troops of conflicts where death occurred. Observers, from the company, with a hill on their side of the river, called that the enemy were coming out of trenches at the river and crossing it with supplies. My artillery office called in a large fire strike. The observers said that there were dead and wounded all over the river.

I was distraught and mourning the loss of a close friend a few days earlier. He and his platoon were bringing supplies to his company on the front when they were hot with mortars. He was bleeding bad from his neck. I was on the radio screaming to stop the blood. They couldn't and he was gone in a short time.

Some writers believe Donald Trump wants to start another mid east conflict. If this is true, this is criminal. Trump had excellent military training that would have been useful in the Viet Nam War, but he choose to have his parents, like a lot of the rich, get him unjustified deferments.
