The removal of Saddam in Iraq helped only the oil companies which are reporting record profits.

Jeremy Skahill has written a book exposing the corruptions of Blackwater. He reports that starting with Clinton’s embargo on Iraq, a genocide of the Iraqi people is taking place. A Noble prize winner of economics has a new book out, reporting the costs of the occupation at $3 trillion.

This is a huge amount of money that should have been spent in better ways — solar panels for all and energy independence. There was no al Qaida in Iraq till we invaded. All this is horrific, but it is not as bad as Bush’s legacy against the environment.

When the economy really collapses we will realize we will just have to be kind to each other, live nonviolently towards each other and our earth.

We have good leaders who can bring out the goodness in us. We need to elect them, or chaos and violence will continue to rule.
