David Gerard (March 2 column) states that “a segment of conservative America finds it easier to spread false accusations rather than debate important issues.” He’s referring to various rumors about Obama’s alleged ties to Islam.

Since he’s pinning the origin of these on conservatives, I call on him to name some names, cite some sources. He will find that the most vicious rumors about Obama have come from the Clinton campaign, rather than from conservatives.

We conservatives don’t need to lie about Obama or any other leftist. The truth will do nicely, thank you.

We very much like to discuss issues rather engage in bomb-throwing.

Ain’t skeered, by George, of taking on Obama or any other leftist on his or her ideology, vision for America and the world, the policies they wish to pursue, whether on defense, health care, immigration, taxation, or fluoridation.
