Jeff Salazar, a former Connors State player, was one of three Arizona players to hit a home run in the season-opening win over Cincinnati on Monday.

Pinch hitting in the seventh inning, Salazar, who graduated from Connors in 2001, hit a solo homer as the Diamondbacks beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-2. The 6-foot, 190-pound right fielder and Oklahoma City native now has three home runs and 19 RBIs through 58 games in his career.

Arizona and Cincinnati play again Wednesday.
