MCLOUD — Haskell High School’s JaRod Jackson won a state championship in the Smaller School Division at the State Powerlifting Meet last Friday at McLoud High School. Jackson, winning in the 242-pound division, had the outstanding squat in the meet at 590 pounds. He also bench pressed 255 pounds and had a dead lift of 580 for 1,425 pounds.

Meanwhile, Robert Draper, also a junior at Haskell, was third in the 157-pound division, had 1,105 total pounds with 380 in the squat, 275 in the bench press and 450 in the dead lift.
