Pearson Weaver poses with the championship trophies signaling a repeat national championship.

Pearson Weaver of Muskogee, a sophomore to be at Hilldale High School, was a member of a Tulsa Soccer Club squad that on Monday captured a repeat Under-15 national championship.

Weaver was the lone area player on the TSC Hurricane ’04, which initially competed in one of 10 conferences in the Elite Clubs National League, theirs including a team from Norman and four each from the Houston and Dallas area.

The top two emerging from round-robin home and home conference games that started back in August advanced to a 52-team national tournament where they advanced through four games in Chicago two weeks ago to get to the eight-team final in Commerce City, Colorado.

They beat Real Salt Lake Academy out of Phoenix  and then Eclipse from Illinois 3-1 in the finals.

They were 14-under champs a year ago.

Weaver was a left back on defense. He scored a goal in an elimination game that got them to nationals.

He was a freshman member of the Hilldale boys team this past season.
