LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Dan Jennings threw a complete-game five-hitter and Mitch Abeita hit a three-run homer as Nebraska downed Arkansas 6-1 on Tuesday for its 14th consecutive win.

Nebraska (15-2) has not lost a game since dropping two of three in its opening series against Stanford.

Jennings (2-0) had seven strikeouts, did not allow an extra-base hit and allowed only one run in the win.

Nick Sullivan had two hits for the Huskers, including a two-run homer in the second inning that broke a 1-1 tie.

Arkansas (12-6) had three errors, which led to two of Nebraska’s runs. Starter Kendall Korbal (0-3) lasted just two innings.

Along with Sullivan, Jake Mort and Jake Opitz each had two hits for Nebraska.

The Huskers have allowed five runs just once during their winning streak, but have given up two runs or fewer nine times.
