GORE 41, HEAVENER 12 — Weston Shanks completed all nine of his pass attempts for 152 yards and ran for 31 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries, while Gunner Dozier gained 115 yards on 14 carries and scored twice as the Class A No. 10 Pirates rolled to the win. Jason Hubler added an interception return for a touchdown.
STIGLER 49, HARTSHORNE 6 — Jaxon Calhoun intercepted two passes to give him 12 for his career as the Class 3A No. 10 Panthers rolled to victory at Hartshorne. Stigler led 35-0 at halftime.
PORTER 36, LIBERTY 22 — Quarterback Bo Tramel tossed four touchdowns and George Collins scampered 55 yards for another TD as the Pirates evened their record at 1-1 on the road. Tramel threw touchdown passes of four yards to Claude Shepherd, 44 to Cortez Broadnax and 12 yards to Logan Jones.
PORUM 24, WEBBERS FALLS 0 — Briley Berry tossed a 29-yard touchdown pass to Michael Johnson and plunged into the end zone for another score as the Panthers beat the Warriors to keep them winless after two games. It was Porum’s season opener.
