And then there was one.

The Vian Wolverines will carry the mantle from here to the finish among area high school football teams.

With Wagoner's 7-3 elimination against Poteau in the Class 4A semifinals Friday, that left the Wolverines, which smothered Adair 45-0. Vian will play Kingston at 7 p.m. Friday at Edmond North High School.

The winner will play either Metro Christian or Beggs a week from Saturday at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

The remaining high school schedule is below. All title games in classes A-6A will be played at UCO starting with the Poteau-Weatherford game Friday at 1 p.m.
