TAHLEQUAH 3, OKAY 1—Tahlequah (4-4) won the first set 25-20, lost 25-17 then won 25-17 and 26-24 to close out the match against the Mustangs (6-5). Kloe Bowin, Josie Foster and Lydia McAlvain each had 8 skills for Tahlequah. Also, McAlvain had 30 assists. Natalee Porter had six aces on serves.
Shayni Green had eight kills, two aces, and 24 digs for Okay. Teammate Sydney Sells had 21 assists. Kinlea Green had 14 digs to go along with sixkills and three service aces. VERDIGRIS 3, SEQUOYAH 0 — Sequoyah (4-8) was coming off the Salina Tournament where they lost in the championship but were unable to win a set against Verdigris, losing 25-14, 25-15, and 25-9. No other information was available.
SAND SPRINGS 7, MUSKOGEE 2 — Karsyn York broke up the shutout with a two-run single in the fourth inning for the Lady Roughers (2-5, 2-3 6A-3), who collected just four hits in the game. Sand Springs is 7-7 and 3-1.
POCOLA 4, HASKELL 1 — The Lady Haymakers (6-5, 1-3 3A-7) managed just three hits and fell behind for good when Pocola broke a 1-1 tie in the third. Alex Bowden drove in Haskell’s only run in the first on a one-out single.
TAHLEQUAH 16, TULSA ROGERS 0 — Lexi Hannah was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Hailey Enlow also drove in three runs in a 2-for-2 game called after three innings on the run rule. Bailey Jones threw three innings of no-hit ball, striking out four for Tahlequah (7-6, 5-0 5A-4). Navaeh Moreno and Savannah Wiggins had two hits.
BEGGS 14, EUFAULA 2—Candice Morgan broke up a no-hitter in the fifth inning with a pop-fly to right scoring Mackenzie Crawley and Mikah Osborne. Eufaula (4-6, 2-2 3A-6) committed 11 errors and struck out eight times.
LEFLORE 10, WEBBERS FALLS 0 — Webbers Falls fell to 11-6. No other information was available.
OKEMAH 8, PORTER 7— Porter (11-5) were unable to extend the game, only scoring two runs in the top of the seventh when Aareonya Moore hit a fly ball to right, scoring Hallee Boyd. Moore would then score on a double to right by Brooklynn Smith. Madison Marnett popped out to third to end the game.
OKTAHA 9, WYANDOTTE 2—The Lady Tigers of Oktaha (12-1, 3-0, 2A-6) scored 4 runs in the bottom of the sixth to put the game away. Gracie Britten went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI as teammate, Jocelynn Williams went 2-for-2 with three RBIs. Cayton Sloan doubled to right in the sixth inning scoring Brynn Surmont and Britten. Cayton Sloan picked up the complete-game win, only allowing six hits and striking out seven.
WARNER 18-20, WEWOKA 8-1 — Winless Warner got its first wins of 2019. Madison Mcelyea went 4-4 for the Lady Eagles (2-6, 2-3 2A-7) with three RBIs in the two games combined. Pitcher Kylea Terrell struck out nine batters in the first game and five in the second. She also went 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs between the two games.
