Checotah’s Seth Knight had a two-run home run and drove in three runs to help Three Rivers to a 15-1 win and a sweep of the Okmulgee Twins on Tuesday at Okmulgee.
The Bandits won the first game 9-1 and are now 7-0 in American Legion action.
Tyson Fourkiller of Stilwell and Boone Lasater each had three hits. Warner’s Carson Foreman tripled in a run. Sam Replogle won the game as the starter, one of three Bandits pitchers. He along with Brook Hendrix and Nick Sizemore combined for 10 strikeouts. Replogle gave up two hits, the only ones the Twins had.
Lasater’s two-run double sparked a four-run first before the Twins took an at-bat. Lasater, Jayce Roberts, Sizemore and Darren Daniels all had two hits. Lasater finished with three RBIs.
Foreman was one of three Three Rivers pitchers in the opener. He went two innings, gave up two hits, struck out two and allowed one run. Hagen Earls threw three hitless innings, striking out four, and Lasater threw the final frame.
Three Rivers is in the Arkansas Tech tournament on Friday and Saturday. They’ll take on the Bryant (Ark.) Black Sox at 5:30 Friday and Gonzalez (La.) at 8 p.m. Saturday’s game is against Russellville (Ark.) at 9 a.m. Saturday.
