About the Warriors: Oklahoma has won four straight games since a opening loss to Topeka. Dametria Dawson scored 37 points in a 78-59 win last Saturday against the Kansas City Stampede, then had 32 in an 82-74 win against the Kileen Force on Sunday. Cierra Miles added 17. Dawson averages a team-high 26 points. It’s the first of two games this weekend for the Warriors, who play Topeka at 3 Sunday.
About the Lightning: At 3-0, the defending champs represent the most loaded team the Warriors have seen. Their roster has six Division I players: OSU ex Shaunte Smith (6-1), Akil Simpson (6-0, SMU) as well as DeAsia Brown (5-7 out of Alcorn State), Connoe Roseman (5-7, Long Island), Talisha Boyd (5-10, McNeese State) and Lydia Baxter (5-10, Sam Houston State). All but Brown and Baxter played professionally overseas.
