Women: Oklahoma Baptist 74, NSU 68
TAHLEQUAH — Host NSU was outscored 14-8 in overtime and fell to 2-4 on the year despite a double-double from Cenia Hayes. The Sequoyah grad scored 24 points and had 14 rebounds.
Trailing 52-44 with 7:32 to play, the RiverHwaks scored 10 unanswered points over the next 4:06 and took a two-point lead on Hayes’ layup. Hayes also made a pair of free throws to make it 58-56 and Maegan Lee hit a jumper with :01 left to go up 60-58, but committed a foul that sent Jaylin Stapleton to the line where she hit both free throws to send it to overtime.
Shae Sanchez had 14 points. Lee had 10 to go with six rebounds..
NSU is home on Saturday for a 2 p.m. tilt against Texas A&M Commerce.
Oklahoma 78,Abilene Christian 65
NORMAN — Madi Williams’ third double-double (17 points, 11 rebounds) along with a game-high 21 points from Taylor Robertson led OU (4-2) to the home win. It was Abilene Christian’s first loss in five contests.
The Sooners shot 46 percent from the floor and 52.2 percent from beyond the arc.
Robertson hit 7 of 12 shots from 3-point range for all of her points and was just one 3 short of her career high. Gabby Gregory had 18 points including 6 of 6 from the free-throw line.
Nydia Lampkin was 4-of-4 on the night.
OU is at Wichita State on Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip.
